210 - HONORING PARENTS
Exodus 20:12 -- “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you.”
“To what extent is one obliged to honor his father and mother? If they were to take his purse that was full of gold and throw it into the sea in his presence, he must nevertheless refrain from giving them any manner of offence, neither causing them distress nor taking umbrage at their conduct: he must accept the Scriptural decree and keep his peace.”*
